Unbreakable

Unbreakable
by Jennifer Kiley

someone special inspired me by moving the spirit within me to awaken. i wrote a poem the night before i was given a truth that is changing the way i see life. the editing i did of the poem took place after i knew who was within me and around me. someone i have sensed around me for a long time. i’ve always believed in guardian angels. they have been protecting me since i was a child. they couldn’t interfer in the terrible things that happened to me back then but they could be with me so that i was not alone. i just didn’t understand back then who was around me or that there were spirits protecting the spirit within me.

recently, somehow, i sensed something happening. it is in the poem i wrote recently. the essence breaks beyond the realm of this reality we are trapped in. as humans, our souls need opening to all possibilites. the other day, i came upon an article about children and how they know how to breath. no adult, athlete or not, can keep up with the energy of a child because a child knows how to breath.

they breath from their bellies. most adults’ musculature causes them to breath from the chest. it is actually where you breath from when you are in danger, in a flight or fight mode. breathing through the chest gives you the extra energy to escape from danger but after the burst of energy is used up you become exhausted. that is why most adults tire easily and need fixes of coffee or harder means to gain what would be so easy to recover if we just learned again how to breath like a child.

in yogic breathing, pranayama, you take a breath in deeply and hold it. when you exhale you are releasing into relaxation and ridding your body and soul of stress and the toxins, the poisons in our world that we can’t help but take in. so death takes hold of you when you breath in and is releasd into life when you let go of all that you release.

giving away your breath is to gain your life. you become closer to the center of your being/your soul/your life force. like the waves caressing the shore, your breathing caresses the infiniteness of your soul.

in one of my favorite songs, “wildfire,” the white horse running along the beach, as the waves continuously break onto the beach, is the symbol of freedom and release. the white horse, a Christ-like figure, moves with the wind and the other horses follow.

the song is about releasing from your body and travelling into eternity together. while connecting the two worlds with one entity on both sides touching the other, bridging the space between, together. the full circle of life, death comes and life returns again into infinity. namaste. jen
