The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.

Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere,
they’re in each other all along.

From Essential Rumi

When I am with you, we stay up all night,
When you’re not here, I can’t get to sleep.
Praise God for these two insomnias!
And the difference between them.

Your love lifts my soul from the body to the sky
And you lift me up out of the two worlds.
I want your sun to reach my raindrops,
So your heat can raise my soul upward like a cloud.

If knowledge of mysteries come after emptiness of mind, that is

#1. Tao

The Tao that can be defined is not the real Tao.
The name that can be named is not the real Name.
The unnamable Tao is the source of Heaven and Earth.
Naming is the mother of all particular things.
Free from desire, you experience reality.
Trapped in desire, you see only appearances.
Reality and appearance have different names,
but they emerge from the same source the Tao.
This source is called darkness, deep darkness;
and yet it is the way to all wisdom.

Tao
by Lao Tzu

The Tao is indefinable and unnamable.
Any definition of the Tao gives us
something that is not the Tao.
So with naming. To name the Tao
is to give us something that
is not the Tao. We cannot grasp
or know the Tao through defining
and naming. If it can be grasped
or known at all, it must be by
some other means, through some
kind of direct experience that
gives rise to a feeling of
the reality of the Tao.

#14.Tao

Look, but you can’t see it.
Listen, but you can’t hear it.
Reach out, but you can’t touch it.
Invisible, inaudible, intangible.
Elusive.
The One.
When it rises, no light.
When it sets, no darkness.
It calls all things back into nothingness [No-Thing-Ness].
Formless form, imageless image.
No front, no back.
Live in the Tao of old, master the present.
Know the Source: The essence of Tao.

How Do We Show Solidarity?

Dust bites. Red storms strip all before them. Grains of sand are sharp, gritty, punishing. Winds come suddenly, filling the sky with feminine pink. Hazy colour has the thrust of pestilence, steals your breath, fills your lungs and blasts your eyes.

The blistering orb strips clean your bones, X-rays skin’s thin veneer. There is nowhere to hide from sun such as this. The Sahelian sun is different to the one under which I live.

I love rain.

I could not live there.

I did live there once in a mud hut with a grass roof. I fended off scorpions and hunting spiders. I slept beneath a mosquito net. Nevertheless, mosquitos found…

it’s what we want it to be

it’s what we want it to be

butterfly with purple blue flowers

it’s what we want it to be.
love could save us from insanity.
but doesn’t it make the sane
lose their sense of reason.

what about the confusion?
what about the degree
of what you need
in relevancy of what
your love can give.

independence
in any relationship
is what makes it thrive.

all is lost
if you want more
than what is there
to be given.

losing someone
you love,
no matter
in what manner
it occurs,
leaves you reticent.

each time
you start out fresh.
you stand back
for a bit longer
every time a newness
opens its door for you.

how do i love thee?
there are
too many ways
to count.

the depth of your love
goes as deep
as you are willing
to let someone in.

is it true,
you want
or need too much?
that’s someone else
speaking those thoughts.

how many times
does a person
need to be reminded
they are loved?

when the signs
are screaming
in sunshine faces
meant just for you.
it takes time
to reach backwards.

what makes you so angry?
when it appears
they’ve disappeared.
then doubting begins.
confusion sets in.

it’s not the fault
of the one you love
when you can’t read
the intended messages
being sent of their love.

it isn’t love
that is blind.
it’s your perception
of the truth.

it isn’t always visible.
you can’t see the idea
of love before your eyes.
you’re blinded by the truth.
of it, you are afraid.

to have a belief
in the one you love.
you need to recognize trust
to experience your senses.

when your therapist
freaks your mind
telling you
you’re addicted
to her
then tells you
you need to adjust
how you respond
to those
imaginary needs?

don’t lose
someone special
for a lost dream
she has nothing
to do with.

readjust
your priorities.
get a grip
and realize
she loves you.

she wrote it out
in black and white
she is not
going to walk away.

don’t make her
change her mind.
let her see
you are worth
her investment
of love.

proving yourself,
how do you do that,
when you don’t
even know
how to love
yourself.

and being there
for yourself
is harder
than being there
for others.

i’m feeling for all parties caught up in this twilight saga out in the real world. there is disappointment on all sides and people have been hurt. kristen stewart and robert pattinson are young and hopefully they will work out between themselves what they need to do to heal from whatever is really going on. we only hear the gossip and inuendos. i feel for those who are extremely upset by what is transpiring but there is a need to get perspective. everyone screwed up someplace. it takes everyone to make a mess in relationships. if someone told you differently then they are lying. no one is totally innocent. we don’t know the people involved. we just are fed how the tabloids and the media want to spin it. let them all go to their respective corners and heal and stop blaming people for living their lives as honestly and not so perfectly as they are able. jmho. ~the secret keeper~

and now for the forum drama that got yanked off of imdb. how fortuitous was i to copy and paste it before they deleted any evidence of this exchange of what ever you want to call it. ~the secret keeper~ ps. an interested party. let the games begin and don’t think for a minute i don’t take this exchange seriously.

whatever is going on between kristen stewart and robert pattinson is for them to work out. but to be so insensitive as to wish they had been in the aurora theatre during the shooting spree is a bloody awful thing to say. as far as the broken hearted fans go, they have an investment in the fantasy of twilight and they wanted that fantasy to carry over into a real life relationship, which it had for some time. so give them a break. does anybody remember the beatles and what about justin beiber. everyone has their fantasies so your calling them abusive names makes you look like a real heartless jerk. so what, you have no imagination where you can enjoy the world of fiction.

*****************************************************************************************

Who says that I don’t enjoy fiction? I don’t see why you would infer that from what I wrote. It seems like you’re implying that Twilight is the ultimate example of fiction, and if I don’t enjoy it, then clearly I’m a dullard.

Anyway, I have no misgivings about what I said here. 70 people who were attempting to enjoy a piece of fiction (a highly anticipated piece of fiction btw; much more so than Twilight), and they were viciously attacked. Twelve of them are now DEAD. Where are the YouTube videos from people who are upset over that? I haven’t seen any. And you call me insensitive?

Yes.

wanting people to have a good life and their relationship to work is quite the opposite of pathetic. attitudes like yours are what would be defined as pathetic.

and twilight being good fiction or not is not the point. wanting real people to die in something so tragic as the aurora theatre killings is beyond insenitive, it is unfeeling, uncaring, inconsiderate, callous, indifferent and tactless.

as to The Dark Knight Rises, it is just a film. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are real people who are hurting right now and deserve some compassion. and their fans are rightfully upset because the media is blowing all their lives out of proportion to what actually is occuring in their lives.

and your life, how real is that, that you treat other people so callously. were you brought up by hienas? ~the secret keeper~ (35 minutes ago (Fri Jul 27 2012 13:00:59)

breaking dawn part two

comment made on imdb.com on the page for the final film in the series of twilight- breaking dawn part 2: I wish that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson had been in the theater, in Aurora. Then we wouldn’t have to hear any blubbering from these ugly, fat Twilight fans who’s hearts are supposedly broken…

my comment in reaction to the one above: whatever is going on between kristen stewart and robert pattinson is for them to work out. but to be so insensitive as to wish they had been in the aurora theatre during the shooting spree is a bloody awful thing to say. as far as the broken hearted fans go, they have an investment in the fantasy of twilight and they wanted that fantasy to carry over into a real life relationship, which it had for some time. so give them a break. does anybody remember the beatles and what about justin beiber. everyone has their fantasies so your calling them abusive names makes you look like a real heartless jerk. so what, you have no imagination where you can enjoy the world of fiction.

will their love survive will they survive the final showdown?

This final film pays attention to Bella’s perspective, describing her painful transformation and finding she had changed into a vampire. she enjoyed her new life and abilities. then there’s the vampire Irina, who misidentifies Renesmee as an “immortal child”, a child turned into a vampire. “immortal children” are suppose to be uncontrollable, so it had been outlawed by the Volturi. Irina presents her allegation to the Volturi there plan is to destroy Renesmee and the Cullens. Calling on the survival instinct, the Cullens gather other vampire clans from around the world to stand as witnesses and prove to the Volturi that Renesmee is not an immortal child. Being confronted with the Cullen allies and witnesses, the Volturi discover that they have been misinformed. without hesitation they execute Irina for her mistake, but remain undecided on whether Renesmee should be viewed as a threat to vampires’ secret existence. eventually, all that remains leads up to the final contfrontation and the end result, which i feel you should see the film to discover if you haven’t already read it in the book.

Meyer ends the series:

The Twilight Saga is really Bella’s story, and this was the natural place for her story to wind up. She overcame the major obstacles in her path and fought her way to the place she wanted to be. I suppose I could try to prolong her story unnaturally, but it wouldn’t be interesting enough to keep me writing. Stories need conflict, and the conflicts that are Bella-centric are resolved.

breaking dawn cover showing bella’s transition

Cover art:

The cover is a metaphor for Bella’s progression throughout the entire series; she began as the physically weakest player on the board, the pawn, but at the end she becomes the strongest, the queen. The chessboard also hints at the conclusion of the novel “where the battle with the Volturi is one of wits and strategy, not physical violence.”

Title:

the title, Breaking Dawn, is a reference to the beginning of Bella’s life as a newborn vampire. wanting to add a “sense of disaster” to the title to match the novel’s mood. also it centers around “a new awakening and a new day.”

i have stopped my meds and always refuse to ever be hospitalized for any reason. my answers have always been to stay at home. to force meds on patience and tell them they are crazy and over-reacting. how else would you react if someone was restraining you and injecting poison into your system that is going to knock you into a stupor. i’ve seen my younger brother in that state. this tape talks about an alternative to that kind of treatment you would receive at an institutional facility. a place of nightmares and more like snakepits. these places mentioned in the tape would be so much more amenable to getting the right kind of treatment if you need it. my animals and s/o take care of me when i get in a bad place. i fight the demons on my own and there are special people in my life who are there. i found that out tonight from someone i really feel i can call friend. listen to this tape and hear what they have to say. it all sounds so promising.

blaming aurora theatre killings on judeo-christian bashing
Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, right, said the theater slaughter is related to “ongoing attacks on Judeo-Christian beliefs.”

For all of the rhetoric about Christianity being under attack in this country, oftentimes it feels no one does a better job of hurting Christianity than the people who call themselves Christians. Especially after a national tragedy.

pat robertson and jerry falwell (died)

For example, after the September 11 terror attacks, Jerry Falwell blamed the ACLU, as well as feminists, gays and lesbians, for lifting God’s veil of protection.

pastor john hagee

After Hurricane Katrina, Pastor John Hagee said he believed God caused the largest natural disaster in U.S. history to stop a gay pride parade in New Orleans.

pat robertson and jerry falwell (died)

Bodies were still being recovered from the 2010 earthquake in Haiti when Pat Robertson said the country was struck because it made a “pact to the devil.”

jerry newcombe said: “Tragedies like the Aurora theater mass murder happen because people no longer believe in hell, and unless the victims of such tragedies “know Christ” or if they “knowingly rejected Jesus Christ,” they’re on their way to hell.”

And just this weekend, as the nation is trying to heal from the theater shootings in Aurora, Colorado, Jerry Newcombe, a spokesman for the evangelical group Truth in Action, took time out of his day to inform mourners that some of their loved ones were going to hell.

rep. louie gohmert r-texas

Newcombe’s comments were made after U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert, a Texas Republican, said he believed the shootings happened because Christianity is under attack.

He then wondered why “you know, with all those people in the theater, was there nobody that was carrying? That could have stopped this guy more quickly?” Carrying a gun, of course.

That’s right — a congressman who sits on the House Judiciary Committee is talking about a shootout in a dark room filled with tear gas and panicked, innocent people. And we ask ourselves why Congress is so dysfunctional.

rick santorum for traditional american values

This past winter, Sen. Rick Santorum, a devout Roman Catholic who made his faith central to his presidential bid, blamed higher education for the declining number of young people who identify as Christians. This might have struck young people looking at Santorum’s three degrees as … curious.

Dare I say, hypocritical? Hysterical? Dumb?

As in ignoring that Haiti sits on two seismic fault lines, but choosing to go with the pact-with-the-devil-to-explain-the-earthquake kind of dumb.

Of course, people of various faiths, agnostics and atheists make questionable statements all the time. The difference is this mantra of an “attack on religious freedom” is most often repeated by politicians and religious leaders of the Christian faith, usually when a political discussion about marriage or women’s reproductive health is taking place.

I’m fine with that.

jerry falwell speaks out through fundamentalist zealots blaming everyone

But I have a problem when a disaster claims innocent victims or causes a great deal of pain and loss, and instead of showing compassion, these so-called leaders of faith say the gays did it. Or the liberals. Or that gem Falwell served up — the ACLU. That kind of rhetoric not only violates Christ’s greatest commandment — to love — but is completely illogical.

As a Christian, I understand the importance of faith. But Jesus did not say you have to be illogical or inhumane to be a person of faith. If Newcombe and others like him would remember that, I doubt he would have chosen the day after the Aurora shooting to tell mourners their loved ones are burning in hell.
