faith and insanity
faith in sanity
high on a hill tripping real
the dream is over
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
hippies smoked good dope
love stamped out reality
rising sun setting
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
want to hold my hand
while my guitar gently weeps
when i’m sixty-four
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
turn your insides out
give feelings a chance to breathe
let love touch your soul
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
sympathy for life
let me introduce myself
hope you guess my name
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
he is wealth and taste
one percent kept for his grace
will destroy what’s left
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
breaking down thought waves
climbing growing dreaming free
think feel let it be

“Men have called me mad; but the question is not yet settled, whether madness is or is not the loftiest intelligence– whether much that is glorious– whether all that is profound– does not spring from disease of thought– from moods of mind exalted at the expense of the general intellect.” ― Edgar Allan Poe, Complete Tales and Poems
I just love your word play! And your magic with images and sound!
thank you my friend. your words are so supportive and encouraging to me. i need that feeling of digging into my soul to find what means something and then to express in a way that says something outside of myself. you are special and truly a great freind. J.K. jennifer m.m.
